GRAFFITI MEETS MR. WANG

Ich konnte einfach nicht widerstehen und musste bei der aktuellen Alexander Wang x H&M Kollektion 2014 zuschlagen. Vielleicht zunächst einige kurze Gedanken zu Alexander Wang, ein international bekannter und bedeutender Modeschöpfer unserer Zeit. Als Nachfolger von Nicolas Ghesquière ist Alexander Wang der Chefdesigner der Modefirma Balenciaga. Als Erfinder einer neuen Art der urbanen Laufstegmode verwendet der Designer sehr robuste High-Tech-Materialien in ausschließlich schwarz, grau und weiß. Mit seiner sehr speziellen Kreativität kombiniert Wang Sportswear mit Mode. Das ist eben typisch Wang. So auch in seiner aktuellen H&M Kollektion 2014, die ihn in den Modeolymp katapultierte und zu noch größerer internationaler Bekanntheit verhalf:

„Die Stücke sind urban und eng mit der Street-Kultur moderner Metropolen verbunden – das ist ihr Kern, es geht um Performance. Ich persönlich sehe meine Perspektive manchmal auch als “un-edel”, weil ich mich auch zur Inspiration darauf fokussiere, was die Menschen alltäglich tragen, und das dann mit Scharfsinn, Humor und Experimentierfreudigkeit umsetze. Das repräsentiert auch meine Kollektion für H&M.“

Für mich persönlich schafft Wang den Spagat zwischen klassischer Mode und urbanem Lifestyle. Die von ihm entworfenen Produkte in seiner aktuellen H&M Kollektion sind sehr variabel einsetzbar, von klassisch-elegant bis hin zu sportlich-urban. Ich habe mich bei diesem Fotoshooting in München für einen sportlichen Style mit Lederjacke, Mütze und Boots entschieden, gepaart mit einem farbenfrohen Graffiti Hintergrund, der den urbanen Stil von Wang repräsentiert. Natürlich kann man seine entworfenen Produkte auch anders kombinieren. Und genau das ist, wie ich finde, das grandiose an diesem Designer. 

I have to commit, I was weak and had to buy these amazing things of the latest Alexander Wang x H&M Collection 2014. Before I tell about my impressions I want to give you just some informations about this well known and important fashion designer. As the successor of Nicolas Ghesquière Alexander Wang is the chief designer of the fashion company Balenciaga. Wang is the inventor of a new kind of urban fashion. He use very robust high-tech materials only in black, gray and white. With this new way of designing and thinking Wang combined sportswear with fashion. That’s just Wang. The current H&M collection catapulted him into the fashion Olympus. 

In my opintion Wang manage the balancing act between classical fashion and urban lifestyle. You can combine the pieces of clothing of the current H&M collection really different, from classically elegant to sporty and urban. I have chosen a sporty style with leather jacket, hat and boots at this photo shooting in Munich. The colorful graffiti background of the pictures represents the idea of an urban style of Wang. Of course you can combine his designed products in a completely different way. And exactly this is the magnificent on this designer.
